The Year of The Surface Claus

We had a Surface Claus sighting here at Aras over the Holidays!

What is Surface Claus, you ask? It's more like whom is Surface Claus? For us, it was Aras CEO Peter Schroer.

Peter took on the role at an informal pre-Christmas company gathering when, much to EVERYONE'S delight, he handed out a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 to every Aras employee!

To say that we were giddy with excitement would be an understatement. Dramatically so, for some of our tech staffers.

So, what's the deal? Was Peter suddenly overcome by the Christmas Spirit? Not exactly… More like the competitive PLM spirit.

Peter's rational is simple: He wants to provide the world's best PLM solution, today and in the future. This includes but isn't limited to Mobile, Cloud and Social.

To do this, Peter knows he has to give his people – that's us! – access to the latest tools and technology. He's encouraging all of us to get creative and take an active role in defining and developing the PLM system of the future.

Peter's mandate was also simple: Use it. At work. At home.

In short, Peter wants to make sure Aras does more than talk the talk. He's guaranteeing that we also walk the walk.
