Aras, the only resilient platform provider for digital industrial applications, today announced that it will host its first Aras Connect event on October 30th in Detroit, Mich. The event will bring together leaders from the automotive industry to discuss the next generation of PLM strategies, how other companies are using Aras Innovator, and Aras’ upcoming product roadmap.
As auto manufacturers compete to create industry-leading connected and autonomous vehicles, many of them are finding their legacy systems inadequate for the challenge. To remain competitive in a changing landscape, auto manufacturers are seeking new technologies to help them overcome the challenges of siloed processes and help their business adapt for the future.
During the one-day event, attendees will meet and hear from automotive industry leaders, including Magna and DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), and learn how they are using the Aras platform to fulfill their business needs. Additionally, they will learn how best-in-class organizations are overcoming their most complex automotive PLM challenges and be part of the conversation surrounding the future of PLM and its implementations.
During a customer spotlight presentation, William Hall, Project Engineer, and Gary Nieman, Engineering IT Manager, at DIAM will provide an overview of their current PLM projects, the challenges and successes they faced, and the future projects they plan to embark on with Aras.
Additionally, Jan Montrose, Director CPMP, from Magna will discuss her organization’s Program Development Process (PDP) implementation journey with Aras. Her presentation will touch on how Magna is using the platform for project management functions, connectivity between different data elements, how her organization leveraged the user-friendly interface increase productivity, and what its roadmap looks like as Magna plans future projects to take advantage of the platform’s capabilities.
