Aras, the leader in open product lifecycle management (PLM) software for the enterprise, today announced that key executives will present at the Global Product Data Interoperability Summit (GPDIS) on Sept. 17-20, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ.

GPDIS functions as a communications hub for industry principals to foster knowledge through the exchange of ideas, solutions, and methods. It also builds consensus for tool and process standards in the industry, and represents the core data representations and delivery systems that drive the industry. This year’s event will focus on value-driven autonomous systems through data interoperability.

Aras’ open, flexible PLM platform allows manufacturers to connect product data across the enterprise to enable cross-discipline collaboration, traceability, and the Digital Thread. Aras will host two sessions:

  • “Intelligent Simulation Automation Requires a Solid SPDM Foundation” – Marc Lind, SVP of Strategy at Aras, will examine the industry’s growing need for more effective enterprise-wide SPDM as a foundation to achieve closed-loop traceability between simulation, requirements, test results, and design data. Attendees are encouraged to join Mr. Lind on day 1 at 4:50 PM.
  • “Enhancing Automated Trade Studies using MBSE, SysML and PLM” – John Sperling, Vice President of Product Management at Aras, will discuss the value of integration between system model authoring tools (e.g., SysML tools) and an open PLM platform to substantially simplify systems engineers’ efforts, save time, eliminate incorrect assumptions, and maximize reuse. Attendees are encouraged to join Mr. Sperling on day 2 at 4:40 PM.
