Aras High-Tech Electronics Accelerator

The Aras High-Tech Electronics (HTE) Accelerator is a preconfigured solution built on the Aras Innovator platform, designed to help electronics manufacturers manage complex product development across hardware, software, suppliers, and manufacturing. The solution enables companies to scale rapid innovation while controlling multi-domain product complexity, variant configurations, and multi-tier supply chains. In this environment, PLM becomes the digital thread backbone connecting engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers across the product lifecycle.

Electronics companies face increasing pressure from short product lifecycles, rapid innovation cycles, and volatile component supply chains, all of which require faster change management, improved traceability, and tighter collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing partners. The Aras HTE Accelerator addresses these challenges by providing a configurable, out-of-the-box framework for managing requirements, design, BOM structures, engineering changes, quality processes, and supplier collaboration.

The Accelerator supports the entire lifecycle from new product introduction (NPI) through sustaining engineering and end-of-life, helping organizations reduce engineering rework, prevent manufacturing disruptions from component shortages, and improve collaboration across global product teams.

By combining multi-view BOM management, engineering change governance, supplier collaboration, and ECAD integration, the Aras High-Tech Electronics Accelerator enables companies to manage increasing product complexity while maintaining traceability, quality, and supply chain resilience.

The accelerator consists of a bundle of four templates, each of which is available for separate purchase if the full scope of capability is not required:

• Aras Product Definition & Change Control: Provides electronics-specific product definition and change control capabilities tailored to PCBA development and production. This template extends Aras Product Engineering with domain-specific concepts required for high-tech electronics, enabling precise configuration management, faster iteration cycles, and controlled change execution across complex electronic products.
• Aras Materials Management: Introduces materials and substances as governed engineering data within the product lifecycle. This template enables continuous compliance, sustainability analysis, and regulatory reporting directly within the product structure—ensuring organizations can proactively manage environmental and regulatory requirements without disconnected systems.
• Aras Advanced Quality Management: Extends the Aras Quality Management System (QMS) to support electronics-focused quality processes, including quality events and CAPA execution. The solution provides direct linkage to suppliers and controlled product changes, enabling closed-loop quality across design, manufacturing, and the supply chain.
• Aras Supplier Management & Supplier Portal: A supplier collaboration solution consisting of internal Supplier Management functionality inside Aras Innovator, with an option to connect to external suppliers, enabling secure, governed interaction on live product data via an optional portal extension.
